New · Quick commerce

Quick commerce lists you fast. It drops you faster.

I help food, beverage and D2C brands get onto Blinkit, Zepto and Instamart, and stay on.

Why brands get dropped

The trial is short, and it’s already decided before you list.

This is what founders find out after they’ve paid to list.

~10dark stores in your trial, in a few pin codes only
1 targetsell enough there in the first weeks, or you’re delisted
~₹30,000listing fee per product variant, before you sell anything
~₹1 a dayrent per unit in the dark store, going up after month 1

And people on quick commerce search for brands they already know. If nobody in those pin codes has heard of you, nobody searches for you.

How I take a brand onto quick commerce

Demand first. Listing second.

  1. 1

    Should you be there?

Not every brand needs quick commerce. We check your price, margin and repeat buying first.

  2. 2

    Build demand before you list

Social, PR and sampling in the exact pin codes of your trial, so people search for you on day 1.

  3. 3

    Pass the trial

Listings, stock and the weekly numbers, so you hit the target and get more dark stores.

  4. 4

    Keep your own customers

Quick commerce doesn’t share who bought. Your website and WhatsApp capture them for repeat and bulk orders.

From my work

2 brands, 2 very different starts.

Booked a call

Tea brand, Delhi NCR

Every order from ads lost money. Blinkit sold with zero ad spend.

What was happening
  • On its own website, a ₹499 pack cost ₹220 to make and about ₹120 to ship. Ads couldn’t make that pay.
  • In its Blinkit trial, it sold 16 packs in 5 days without spending a rupee on ads.
What we decided

Make quick commerce the main channel: pass the trial at 12 orders a day, then grow from 10 dark stores to 30, 70 and all of Delhi NCR. Use the website to learn who the customers are.

Client

New functional beverage brand

Launching on quick commerce first, in 2 cities.

The plan
  • Blinkit in Mumbai and Pune to get discovered, close to where it’s made.
  • Premium stores next, and the website for repeat orders of 12 and 24 packs.
  • Sampling in the trial pin codes, so the first weeks hit the target.
My role

Fractional Cofounder: social, ads, listings and the quick commerce plan, as one team.

Questions

Before you list.

Who is this for?

Food, beverage and FMCG brands that want to be on quick commerce first, and D2C brands adding Blinkit, Zepto or Instamart to their website and Amazon.

Should I list before I have any demand?

Usually not. Quick commerce is faster to drop you than to list you. Build some demand on your website or Amazon first, then list close to where those customers are.

How much does it cost to work with you on this?

It depends on your brand and how many cities. Start with a call, and I’ll tell you if quick commerce makes sense for you before we talk money.

If the month ends and you can’t say where the money went, start here.

60 minutes on your numbers. You leave knowing what to fix first.
